The NCP Fall Meeting took place on October 20-21, 2022, in Barcelona. The meeting was initiated by the club members Professor Jose Maria Viedma Marti, Julia Manzanas Mondejar, and Dr. Heloisa Oliveira. Many thanks to them for the excellent reception of the NCP community and the possibility to meet representatives of the Collegi d’Economistes de Catalunya, Associacio Catalana de Compatabilitat i Direccio ACCID, and Generalitat de Catalunya ACCIO.

The meeting discussed issues related to the creation of sustainable wealth in the global knowledge economy. Discussions focused on the role of institutions, changes in regional intellectual capital, the impact of emerging technologies, as well as trust, ethics, and negotiation.

Many thanks to the Collegi d’Economistes de Catalunya, Associacio Catalana de Compatabilitat i Direccio ACCID, and Generalitat de Catalunya ACCIO for their cooperation with the NCP and active contribution to knowledge capital development in the region.

Also, NCP members visited the Barcelonian Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) which is an international biomedical research institute of excellence in the region. The latest genetic engineering solutions that save humanity from the most complex diseases are developed here. More than 500 people implement their research including a lot of ERC grantees developing their ideas here in the center. Many spin-offs are born here thanks to doctors, engineers, mathematicians, microbiologists, genetic engineers, and entrepreneurs. Well-organized talent management, knowledge transfer, and intellectual capital development solutions contribute enormously to the progress of the region.
