NCP’s midterm winter meeting at Luxembourg on February 4th and 5th

Dear Members of NCP,

Some time ago you have received notification of the NCP events that will take place in Luxembourg from Monday 4 February till Wednesday 6 February 2013. Please find herewith more details on these events:

The NCP Winter meeting (4 and 5 February) is internal to NCP. The programme is appended (Appendix 1). There will be an informal get together on Sunday 3 Feb evening to meet among ourselves and with some Luxembourgers that will participate. Favourable hotel rates have been negotiated. Lunches and dinners are free.

Themes for the Winter Meeting are the (1) NCP Projects and how they develop (RES, ACSI, HKM, ..); (2) Updating IC methodologies for Nations and for Firms and Organizations); (3) IC of ultra-Peripheral regions; How to reconcile Tradition and Modernism.

To nourish our discussions on re-energizing society, involve remote regions and allying tradition and modernism we invited Prof. Matthews Hamabata (Kohala Center, Hawaii) as a guest (www.kohalacenter.org). He was instrumental in the revival effort of Big Island in Hawai’€™i.

We would be very pleased if you could participate to the meeting and bring your much valued insights to the discussions.

LuxIC, our Luxembourgish Intellectual Capital Association, further organizes the following day (Wednesday 6th Feb from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m) a conference on ’€œThe Future of Luxembourg’€ where NCP members will make up one of the two panels. We believe that there is an opportunity to design together a model for helping Luxembourg (and regions/countries in general) find the mental resources to re-invent themselves. One of the 4 presentations is based on IC. (App. 2 and App. 3)
The conference is open, free, but you will need to register (App.4 in PDF format / App.4 in DOC format).

Luxembourg is a small town, but rich of history and worth a visit (www.lcto.lu) .
The NCP events will all take place in the center of town (www.cerclecite.lu) (Place d’€™Armes).
The proposed hotels (App.5 in PDF format / App.5 in DOC format) are in walking distance, with striking views over one of the valleys.

With the hope we can count on your presence in Luxembourg, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Best regards,
Prof DI Guenter Koch, Secr Gen NCP
Jean-Jacques Mertens, President, LuxIC
And the whole LuxIC team (Susan, Sylvain, Hank, Denis, Anne-Laure and Jacques)
